T.G.I.Friday's

Thank God! It’s Friday’s!

As we all know that there are a lot of restaurants available in Sunway Pyramid, so it's hard to choose a restaurant to have my dinner with friends. When we came across T.G.I.Fridays's, its signer caught our eyes as that day was also a Friday. Then we decided to dine in at there.

When we stepped forward to this restaurant, the waitress greeted and seated us very friendly. She put the menus on the table and let us to take a look. Seriously, the menu was very attractive! The pictures inside kept tempting my taste buds. We ordered immediately so that we can quickly have our meals.

While waiting for the food, I looked around and it seemed that it was not crowded probably because that time was just late evening. I tried to find out more about this restaurant through internet and I found that Friday's was one of the first to use promotion like ladies' night, no wonder there's a bar area. Furthermore, Friday's currently has over 920 restaurants in 61 countries! It really shocked me and my expectation to this restaurant became higher.

"San Francisco" as a starter to my meal. There's cherry and lime inside the drinks, sour and soda over the ice. It tasted very refreshing and quite nice.

As an appetizer, we decided on the "Balsamic-Glazed Chicken Caesar". It consists of balsamic-marinated chicken breast fire-grilled which drizzled with balsamic glaze. It served over romaine lettuce tossed in a Caesar Vinaigrette and tomatoes. I think this is how a Caesar salad to be done as it was really great.

After the salad came the soup, we ordered the "Cream of Mushroom" It was a rich and creamy soup which loaded with lots of mushrooms. It smelled good and tasted very well. For a reminder, this soup is very heavy, so do not order too much main courses if you've ordered this.
Cream of Mushroom

Next up with the main courses. The first dish was "Garlic Spaghetti Vegetali". This spaghetti was tossed with grilled chicken, extra virgin olive oil, broccoli, tomatoes, radicchio, arugula, garlic, Parmesan cheese and garnished with a crispy basil leaf. It tasted good and all the ingredients can mix up very well.

The next dish was also a pasta, named "Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta".The tender chicken and the shrimp sauteed with red bell peppers, then tossed with al dente fettuccine ribbons in a spicy Cajun Alfredo sauce. It actually tasted not bad but I preferred the last dish as it wasn't creamy as this.

Another item that looks good on the menu is "Tuscan Chicken Melt". Inside the two slices of ciabatta bread was fire-grilled diced chicken, cheeses, roasted onions and tomatoes. In addition, you can choose to serve the dish with crispy fries or Clam Chowder, and obviously we had chosen clam chowder. Surprisingly, this dish was out of my expectation, my friends and I felt disappointed as it wasn't delicious as we thought.

Time for the signature dish - "Sirloin Steak"! Sirloin is justifiably America's favorite steak, an 8-oz. Australian chilled air flown grain-fed steak with wild mushroom butter and two sides - crispy fries and cheddar cheese mashed potatoes. It's worth for its price, because it was absolutely delicious and you can feel the meat melted inside your mouth like butter.

Now came to the final main dish, "Championship BBQ Chicken". It was half roasted chicken which topped with their Championship BBQ sauce. Besides, it served over the crispy onion ring and Cheddar cheese mashed potatoes. It looked great but tasted a bit bad, the chicken was not juicy and tasteless.

For the dessert, we ordered "Blondie Fudge Crunch". It was a warm Blondie cookie bar which topped with chocolate fudge sprinkled with pretzel pieces. Then on top there was whipped cream and caramel sauce. My friends and I felt that it was too much for us as we had a lot of meals just now. Moreover, it was too sweet and made us felt like having sore-throat.

In a conclusion, i think T.G.I.Friday's is worth going again as their prices are reasonable and the surroundings is quite clean and neat. I really enjoyed my time at here although there were some disturbances like kids running around and customers' loudly voice. I recommended for those who are looking for a cozy ambience place to chill-out, soul-out and wild-out with either friends or family, Friday's would be your first choice!
