Little Italy

     Puchong is a bustling township with varieties of gourmet. Every now and then there will be new opening of shops consists of Asian and Western fusion food. Last Thursday, I went to an Italian restaurant which is located at Bandar Puchong Jaya with my mother for lunch.

Restaurant Little Italy

    Little Italy is the name of the restaurant which provides choices of Italian and European cuisines ranging from pizzas to pastas. The owner of Little Italy had decorated the restaurant with Italian theme. It has a smoking and a non-smoking section. The environment of the restaurant is cozy and quiet.  As we walked into the restaurant, a waiter welcomed us and handed us the menu. The restaurant also offers a lunch set menu starting from price of RM9.90. We decided to go with set lunch #2 consists of a soup, main course and a soft drink. Customer can choose either a mushroom or minestrone soup, main course of Hawaiian pizza, spaghetti Bolognese or spaghetti primavera. This set cost RM13.90.

     

Non-smoking area

     While waiting for meals, customer can flip through the magazines which were situated on a rack in a corner of the room to pass the time. The appetizer came soon after. It is a homemade mushroom soup made of natural and fresh ingredients and had croutons in it with chopped basil on top. Main course came after the soup. Spaghetti primavera is made of many kinds of vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, aubergine, red pepper and carrot with tomato cream sauce. Spaghetti Bolognese is made of either mince chicken or beef with tomato paste. Both of the spaghettis were al-dente well-cooked by the chef.

    For dessert, Little Italy has Italian famous Tiramisu. It is a coffee flavored cake sandwiched between layers of cream cheese and topped up with cocoa powder over a sweet chocolate sauce. Tiramisu costs RM7.80 per slice.

     Little Italy is a pleasant environment to have lunch or dinner with family and great friends. The food taste delicious with a decent price. It is worth to try it out at Little Italy. “buon appetito”
