FEEL THE MYSTERIOUS !

The sense of taste of Indonesian cuisine and Malaysian cuisine do not have any big difference. They both have spicy taste in common but from my experience, Malaysian cuisine seems more spicy. Indonesian cuisine is therefore extremely diverse, but largely indigenous to the islands without much outside influence apart from some Dutch colonial influences. Malaysian cuisine on the other hand has been largely shaped by the strong influences from China and India.

Last Thursday, me and my friends had visited to a Indonesian restaurant for our dinner.  In clearer saying, it is actually a Balinese cuisine restaurant, named ‘Ole-ole Bali’ located at ground floor of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. The restaurant has a cozy and ambient Balinese style surrounding, it can be a little cramped at times but during off-peak hours, eating there is leisurely. The restaurant was playing with enchanting and relaxing rhythm contemporary Bali jazz music.

This is the appearance outside the restaurant. It is not in modern design but in traditional design. It makes you feel you are already in Bali before you walked in to the restaurant. So you can imagine the feeling!

This is the environment of the restaurant, how comfortable !

This is the menu of 'Ole-Ole Bali'. The picture refers to 'Balinese Specialties'. The restaurant is very caring because the menu provided is in Malay language, let us understand the name of dishes on the menu.

Finally, we had decided what to eat for our dinner. We were as hungry as hunters.

Here's the food we have ordered :

This is Sate Lilit. It is totally different with Malaysian satay. A Citronella branch wrapped with meat slice.

This is Nasi Campur Ayam. It served with rice, combination of kangkung, grilled lemongrass prawns, squid, fish chicken rendang, beans salad, and anchovy crackers. It's priced at RM35.00.

This is Bali Trio. This is a must-order Balinese specialty. The plate have Ole-Ole BBQ wings, Sate Lilit, and Cumi-cumi goreng. The plate also provided three type of sauce which are Sambal Matah, Sambal Terasi and Tartar sauce. The Bali Trio really smells delicious. It's priced at RM45.00.

This is barley lime. The taste is very refreshing and i love it very much! It helps to remove the oily and greasy feeling. The price at RM6.00 per glass and RM18.00 per jug.

As living in this big city i strongly recommend to visit and have a meal at Ole-Ole Bali with your friends or family because the environment is really relaxing and can help to release your stress. It also helps to facilitate good communication.
