Poco Homemade

POCO HOMEMADE

Poco, in Italian it means [small], a little bit less, not too much. A simple word that brings out the whole concept of a cafe, Poco Homemade. It looks interesting when you passing by a row of shop lots in a housing area that doesn't seem obvious to spot the Cafe. A sky blue painted wall with some vintage decorations attracting passer-by to walk in and have a seat. And yes, Me and my family came across and had a lunch in this cafe.

-The Front View-
This cafe were opened by a pair of husband and wife, who enjoyed their lifestyle. Before operating this business, the wife worked as network game designer. Then, she decided to focused on this business while her husband working as a lecturer in one of the college of art. Their Cafe are full with souvenirs from different country. The furniture they had used in their cafe were rag-picked from different places, make over by themselves and became one of their highlight in the cafe. Also, what makes this cafe unique is this is the only cafe they had. They have no branches in anywhere.

In the Cafe, you will see more vintage and home furnishing style has been used as decorations. No matter which view you're sitting,  you will see a lot of small details decoration that reminds of your childhood memories. Dimmed light and country musics played has taken on a harmony and relaxed atmosphere.

-An overall shooting in the Cafe-

When comes to ordering food and desserts, You feel anxious to know whats the delightful dishes that they had in their menu. In their menu, they have their simple four homemade food, desserts and beverages.

-Front cover of the menu-
Although their cafe's name comes from an Italian meanigs, but that just to describe their small and unique cafe. Actually, their dishes are more to Japanese style of homemade food. This is two of the main dish that we have ordered:

Japanese White Radish Braised Chicken
(Served with brown rice, pickled radish, scented tea pudding and green tea)

Great-Burdock Rice
(Served with pickled radish, scented tea pudding and green tea)

These lightly seasoned dish are good-tasting and also present it with a Japanese style of spoon and chopsticks. After the dishes with pickled radish, continued on with scented tea pudding and green tea that gives you refreshing sense. Later, we have continue our lunch with some desserts.

Homemade Tofu Cake
(Top of cake made by tofu and a slice of biscuit as a base)
Soft and creamy tofu that melts in your mouth with a digestive biscuit that provides crunchy feels. Hence, Homemade Tofu Cake became their cafe's well-known desserts.

Chocolate Molten Cake
(Chocolate cake that full with warm melted chocolate in it, and a vanilla ice cream with slided almond)
The first thing that comes into your mouth will be chocolate melts and warmth feel in your heart. These chocolate will melts your heart and makes you adore it. Vanilla ice cream gives the sweetness and coldness in your mouth. Hot&Cold will be the best choice to gives you mix and match feelings.

At the same time, the owner of the cafe special recommend us to try on the coffee she bought from Italy. It smells and taste wonderful even though you are not a coffee-lover. The smell and taste are slightly different from the ordinary coffee. This is how beautiful I spend my afternoon in Poco Homemade Cafe.

Poco Homemade will be the best place to relax and slow down whenever you wanna get away from your busy  life just for a while. Poco Homemade will provide you the best comfort and harmony as how they asked people to "slow down your steps, soften your voice and have your relaxing time here".
